The long forgotten art of foraging, or well, maybe I’m exaggerating just a little but as life got more and more convenient for us humans we seem to have forgotten that there’s still a whole world out there filled with foods that are right there to be picked! Foraging is one of those things I can’t help but do. I could take a simple walk through a forest and end up with a basket full of wild garlic. I could be out and about on a nice summer evening and bump into a lovely blackberry bush and end up with a bunch of blackberries. Either way, chances are I end up with a basket full of freshly gathered food that I can use in delicious recipes.
Gathering your own food isn’t just a fun thing to do; it’s also incredibly rewarding as you make sure you end up with untreated and naturally grown food. So take a look around as I show you some of my favorite kinds of ‘wild’ food sources and how I blend them into my everyday recipes.
