FAQ

What is a vegan?
A vegan is a person that does not eat or use animal products.

I have tried being vegetarian or vegan but it didn’t work out for me. Can you help?
Being vegan is not a finite goal that happens over night. It’s a journey. You can start small and take it day by day. The best advice I can give you is to change your mind set. Change it from “I can’t have this.” to “I don’t want this.”. Focus on all the exciting things you can and want to have. Find new things you have never tried before. Go pick up that weird looking fruit you always walk past at the supermarket. Have a trip to a farmer’s market if you can. Stay away from those vegan steaks and sausages. Yes there are a few good vegan replacements but they do not taste like meat. And that’s where the problem is. People expect a substitute to taste like the original. It never works. Buy real food. Eat real food. Experiment once a week with something you haven’t cooked or tasted yet. You can do this. I know I did.

Why isn’t my comment showing?
If you are leaving a comment for the first time it is in queue for moderation. The reason behind this is spam and unwanted advertising.

May I publish your recipe or pictures on my blog?
You may not post my identical recipe on your blog. The reason being: I put a lot of work and effort into taking pictures and developing recipes. I reserve all rights on the content of this page. If you are a fellow food blogger you may adapt the recipe and write it in your own words. You may also use one picture and link back to the original post.

May I share your recipe or pictures on social media?
Yes, of course and I am thankful for everyone doing so. But do keep in mind to repost photographs with full attribution or with a link to the site.

Do you accept guest posts?
I might if you are a fellow blogger. If not then I will consider it if you have a social media presence that I could relate or link to.

Hi there, I’m slightly obsessed with food, vegan by heart and mommy of a Beagle. I like my food to be affordable and easy to cook. But that doesn’t mean that I don’t indulge whenever I can; since after all …
